Kate Crump is one of our newest Ambassadors with an extensive outdoors resume, reflecting her many years of not only being an example for guides in terms of skill and professionalism, but for also establishing a culture of conservation on her home water and beyond that Team Sawyer recognizes as a vital link between our past, present, and future. Kate operates Frigate Adventure Travel along with her husband, Justin, in Bristol Bay, Alaska, and Oregon’s North Coast. Actively guides for 5 species of salmon, arctic char, grayling and trophy rainbow trout in Alaska and for winter steelhead in Oregon. Kate is also on the board of the nonprofit, Pacific Rivers, working to address the lack of protections for salmon and steelhead on Oregon’s rivers as well as protect drinking watersheds for communities along the coast. Kate is also an ambassador for Patagonia Fly Fishing, Loop Tackle Design, Rising Tools, Costa Sunglasses, and Fishpond and Korkers boots. She has been guiding in Bristol Bay since 2008 and is still one of only a handful of women fishing guides in the Pacific Northwest.
